Meet the Maker

If you know me, talking about myself is not something I enjoy. But here goes…

My name is Andy Dearing - founder of STL Dearing Designs. Starting at a young age, I witnessed my grandfather, father, and uncle making and creating on the family farm in rural Missouri. Inspired by my father’s passion for woodworking, I created my first pieces of furniture almost 20 years ago as a true hobbyist and continued creating pieces for family and friends.

And then in 2020, the world changed. My son (Jacobb) came to me unemployed and looking for an opportunity to learn new skills. We turned the shop into a center of creation, making beautiful cutting and charcuterie boards, and balancing with larger built-in and furniture commissions.

We are excited to see our creations in our customer’s homes and businesses. Our passion is to create high quality pieces for our customers to enjoy for many years!
